The College Basketball Experience (@TCEonSGPN) of the Sports Gambling Podcast Network kicks off the Summer School Coaches Tour. On the show, Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac) is joined by head coach of the Radford Highlanders, Darris Nichols.

Coach Nichols discusses how important it is to coach in his hometown in front of all of his family and friends, what it is like having his brother, Shane Nichols, on his coaching staff, and what he learned from the different coaches he worked for and played for. Darris discusses the different philosophies and mindsets in playing for John Beilein versus Bob Huggins in his days at West Virginia.

Darris Nichols

Darris Nichols is the head men’s basketball coach at Radford University. He has also spent time as an assistant coach at Florida (2015-2021), Louisiana Tech (2014-15), Wofford (2013-14), and Northern Kentucky (2011-13). He played college basketball at West Virginia University (2004-08), twice a recipient of the Big East Academic All-Star and Sportsmanship Award and earned the 2008 Fred Schaus Captain Award for WVU intercollegiate athletics.
