2025 Darris Nichols Basketball Camps Announced
RADFORD, VA – Radford University Men’s Basketball is excited to announce the 2025 Darris Nichols Basketball Camps, taking place at the Donald N. Dedmon Center this summer. These camps are open to all genders and offer players the opportunity to enhance their basketball skills, learn teamwork, and have fun under the guidance of Radford Men’s Basketball coaches and players.
“We had great camps in 2024 with record attendance, and we’re thrilled to build on that success this summer,” said Head Coach Darris Nichols.
The June full-day camp (9am-4pm) is for ages 6-15 and will focus on fundamental skill development. Campers form friendships over the course of four days and will engage in fundamental stations (e.g. passing, dribbling), competition of the day, 5-of-5 games, free shooting, games and daily awards. The July half-day camp (8am-12pm) is for ages 5-12, also focusing on fundamental skill development, but geared toward a younger age group.
“We lower the intensity a little with our second camp,” said Nichols, “but we still focus on fundamentals, teamwork, and fun.
Camp Schedule and Details
June 23-26 | Full-Day Camp
Ages: 6-15
Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Highlights: Fundamental skill development, team games, daily competitions, and awards.
July 14-17 | Half-Day Camp
Ages: 5-12
Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Highlights: A relaxed atmosphere focusing on foundational basketball skills, teamwork, and fun, tailored to younger players.
Both camps will focus on fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork while fostering a fun, inclusive environment.
What Campers Will Gain

Experience through competitions, games, and daily awards.
Parents are welcome to stay and observe or drop off participants during camp hours.
